Isaac Mattson is one of the professional baseball pitchers who plays for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball(MLB). Isaac was born July 1995 in Pennsylvania, United States. He attended Harbor Creek High School in Pennsylvania where he began his baseball amateur career.



After he was not drafted in the 2014 MLB draft, Isaac enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh where he played college baseball. During his freshman year in college, he appeared in 22 games. After his sophomore year in 2016, he played for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named an all-star.

After the 2017 baseball season, Isaac was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 19th round of the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with the team and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Angels before being promoted to the Orem Owlz, where he was named an All-Star.



In December 2019, he was traded by the Angels to the Baltimore Orioles. There was no minor league game to play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Orioles added Isaac to their 40-man roster in November 2020. In May 2021, he was promoted to the major leagues for the first time and he made his MLB debut on May 7, 2021, for the Orioles.
