Born on April 16, 1996, Patrick Joseph Naughton is an American Major League Baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB). He formerly played for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in Major League Baseball (MLB).

The Reds traded Naughton and Jose Salvador to the Los Angeles Angels for Brian Goodwin on August 31, 2020. He did not play in a minor league game in 2020 since the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Naughton was assigned to the Double-A South Rocket City Trash Pandas to begin the 2021 season. He was promoted to the Salt Lake Bees of the Triple-A West after one start.

The Angels picked Naughton’s contract and promoted him to the major leagues on August 4, 2021. He had a 5.34 ERA in 55+23 innings pitched between Rocket City and Salt Lake at the time of his promotion.

On August 8, he made his major league debut in relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, allowing one run, one hit, and two walks in one inning.

Naughton made his first professional start on September 1, 2021, against the New York Yankees, pitching 3+23 innings, surrendering three runs, and striking out two.

Naughton played in seven games (five starts) with the Angels in 2021, going 0-4 with a 6.35 ERA, 14 walks, and 12 strikeouts in 22+23 innings.
