Bradley Austin Miller is a Major League Baseball shortstop and outfielder for the Texas Rangers of the American League.

Miller chose to play college baseball for the Clemson Tigers despite being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2008 MLB Draft.

He won the Brooks Wallace Award for shortstop in college baseball as a junior in 2011.

Miller was also named to the US collegiate baseball team twice, appearing in the 2009 World Baseball Challenge and the 2010 World University Baseball Championship.

Miller was drafted in the second round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Mariners, and he quickly rose through the Seattle farm system, debuting in the big leagues in 2013.

Miller competed with several different Mariners for the starting shortstop position throughout the 2014 season, and by May 2015, he was being used as a “super utility” player, comparable to Ben Zobrist.

Prior to the 2016 season, Miller was traded to the Rays, where he was used as the starting shortstop, first baseman, and finally second baseman.

After a breakout 2016 season in which he hit 30 home runs, Miller’s next two seasons were hampered by injuries, and he was traded to the Brewers in 2018.

Miller only stayed with the Brewers for one month before being released. After that, he had microfracture surgery to repair a ruptured labrum in his hip.
