Kervin Alexander Castro is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants.

Tommy John surgery was performed on him in 2017 and he had a successful outcome. In September of 2021, he made his MLB debut.

When Castro was 16 years old, he signed as an international free agent with the San Francisco Giants for $100,000.

He was formerly a catcher who switched to pitcher. He was 3-1 with a 4.71 ERA in 14 relief appearances covering 21 innings with the Rookie-level DSL Giants in the Dominican Summer League (DSL; Southern Division) in 2016.

He was a Northwest League All-Star in both the mid-season and post-season for the Class A Short Season Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 2019, going 5-3 with a 2.66 ERA and 0.96 WHIP (leading the league) in 14 starts (2nd) covering 67.2 innings (2nd).

After the 2020 season, the Giants added him to their 40-man roster.

In the year 2021, he split his time between the Triple-A West Sacramento River Cats and the main league San Francisco Giants.

Castro was 6-1 with one save and a 2.86 ERA in 30 relief appearances for the River Cats, covering 44 innings and allowing 6.3 hits while striking out 12.3 batters per 9 innings.
