Taylor Rogers Contract, Salary and Net Worth

Taylor Rogers

In 2012, starting pitcher Taylor Rogers made his minor league debut with the Minnesota Twins.

He was first selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 37th round of the amateur draft in 2009, but he decided against signing.

After signing a contract, the Twins selected him from the University of Kentucky in the eleventh round of the 2012 amateur draft.

In 15 games (10 starts) in 2012 with the Elizabethton Twins and Beloit Snappers, he went 4-3 with a 2.27 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings pitched.

He earned a position on the Florida State League Post-Season All-Star team in 2013 after going 11-7 with a 2.88 ERA in 25 games (24 starts) for the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Fort Myers Miracle.

He started the 2014 season playing with the Double-A New Britain Rock Cats and was selected for the Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star team.

He debuted in the majors in 2016 with the Twins, where he soon became one of the team’s top relievers. Although he was primarily used in a role other than closer throughout his six seasons in Minnesota, he recorded a career-high of 30 saves that year.

He had a record of 7-3 in 2017, appeared in a career-high 72 games in 2018, and was nominated to the All-Star team in 2021 despite not being a closer. Nevertheless, he was the most dependable reliever on a Twins club that significantly missed expectations.
