William Woods is a professional baseball player of American descent currently with the Atlanta Braves baseball team of the Major League Baseball (MLB). William has been with the Braves since he was signed into the team in 2018.

William grew up in Trenton, Tennessee in the United States where he attended high school. He was a student at Peabody High School where he played baseball for the school’s baseball team. He then attended Dyersburg State Community College where he played college baseball for the team till he graduated in 2018.

Before the start of the 2019 baseball season, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 23rd round of the 2018 MLB draft. He signed with the Braves and made his professional debut that season playing for the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Braves.

William played for the Rome Braves of the Class A South Atlantic League during the 2019 minor league season. He did not play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Braves selected his contract in November 2021 and added him to their 40-man roster. When the 2022 season began, he was assigned to be with the Mississippi Braves of the Double-A Southern League and in April 2022, he was promoted to the Gwinnett Braves.
