Tony Gonsolin has a net worth of $1 million to $5 million

Tony Gonsolin Scouting Reports

Gonsolin made his pro debut in pro baseball with a fastball that was just acceptable (88-92 MPH). In the Cal League playoffs in 2017, he saw his velocity rise to a point where he was hitting more than 100 MPH.

His 4-seam fastball, on the other hand, has regularly sat at 93-95 mph. An extremely successful high-spin pitch – he would have qualified for the 12th-highest RPM in MLB with it had he been eligible.

His double-plus splitter in the upper 80s is the crown jewel of his offspeed arsenal. In any situation, he’ll throw it with a powerful downward fade that he’ll toss to any-handed hitter.

As a third pitch, his slider in the mid-80s is actually getting better and better. While he doesn’t throw a lot of his curveball in the low 80s, it serves as a solid fourth pitch.

In addition, he avoids using his pitches, particularly his slider, with excessive force (81.1 MPH average exit velocity).

Gonsolin’s athleticism allows him to use a straightforward delivery that is clean and repeatable.

When he throws, he does so from an unusually high arm slot that allows him to generate maximum velocity on every pitch.

A lack of consistency in his command and control of his pitches can result, but he has done well in his short career.

His arm doesn’t have as much wear and tear as most 26-year-old pitchers because he was a two-sport athlete in school.

When it comes to wear and tear, this guy isn’t as well-seasoned as some of the other players on the roster.
