Brian Robinson is currently playing as a running back for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. He was a two-time CFP national champion while playing collegiate football at Alabama before being chosen by the Commanders in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.



Robinson Jr. was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on March 22, 1999. He went to Hillcrest High School, where his senior year saw him carry for 990 yards and 18 touchdowns, earning him a spot on the second team of the Class 6A All-State.

Robinson was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the third round (98th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal on May 18, 2022.

On August 28, 2022, just before 6 p.m. EDT, Robinson left a restaurant in the Near Northeast neighborhood of Washington, D.C. He was then shot in the knee and glute. The attempted carjacking involved two individuals.

The following day, he was released from MedStar Washington Hospital Center after sustaining no potentially fatal injuries.

Robinson missed the season’s first four games before playing in his first NFL game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5, rushing nine times for 22 yards. The following week, he scored against the Chicago Bears for the first time in his career.
