American tight end Jonnu Andre Smith competes for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He is 112 kg in weight and 1.91 m tall. He was a student at West Port High. He was able to play collegiate football for the FIU Panthers after receiving a scholarship to Florida International University. He pursued liberal arts studies.

He had 388 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his 12 games as a rookie in 2013. He played 12 games in 2014 as a sophomore, recording 710 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He participated in 8 games with 397 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns as a junior in 2015. He played 11 games in 2016 as a senior, totaling 506 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Although he was asked to participate in the 2017 Senior Bowl, other tight ends who were anticipated to go in the first and second rounds of drafts stole the show. With the 100th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans selected him in the third round. Smith signed a four-year, $3.10 million contract with the Titans in May 2017 that has a $706,288 signing bonus.
