Cleveland sat out his first year as a true freshman to wear a red shirt. As a redshirt freshman, he participated in all 15 of Georgia’s games and started the final five, including the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship game. He was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team.

During his redshirt sophomore season, Cleveland was healthy enough to start eight games, but an injury forced him to miss six games.

As a redshirt junior, he participated in 13 games and made seven starts at the right guard position.

After starting nine games in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season, Cleveland was named to the first team All-Southeastern Conference and the third team All-American by the Associated Press.

This honor came after Cleveland returned to being a full-time starter at right guard in his final season at Georgia. Cleveland also received this honor.
