J.K. Dobbins is an American football running back for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted by the Ravens in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Dobbins received their secondary education at La Grange, Texas, at La Grange High School. During his time playing football for his high school, he amassed a total of 5,149 yards and 74 touchdowns.

As a sophomore, he carried for 2,243 yards and scored 37 touchdowns. As a junior, he rushed for 2,740 yards and scored 35 touchdowns. Because of his injuries, he was only able to participate in one game during his final year.



Dobbins was a highly ranked four-star prospect prior to his accident, and he had over twenty scholarship offers from Power Five conferences. Despite his injury, Dobbins’s potential was recognized.

He was listed in the top ten for players from the state of Texas on all of the major recruiting websites, and he was placed in the top five for his position among the 2017 class for which he played.

He was regarded as one of the top 50 recruits in the country by both 247Sports and ESPN.com.

Dobbins announced his intention to play college football at Ohio State University, putting an end to rumors that he would sign with Texas or Oklahoma instead.
