Gregory Arthur Deichmann Jr., professionally called Greg Deichmann happens to be one of the professional baseball outfielders with the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Greg was traded to the Cubs in July 2021 and has been with them to date.

Greg was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana in the United States of America on May 31, 1995. He was a student at Brother Martin High School located in New Orleans in Louisiana where he played for the school’s baseball team.

When Greg completed his high school education and career, he was undrafted by any team thus he enrolled at the Louisiana State University (LSU), where he played college baseball for the Tigers till he graduated in 2017.

The Oakland Athletics selected Greg in the second round of the 43rd overall pick of the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with the Oaklands and was immediately assigned to begin his professional career by playing with the Low-A Vermont Lake Monsters.

Greg was made to play with the Midland RockHounds of the Double-A Texas League during the 2019 season. He was also chosen to play in the Arizona Fall League for the Mesa Solar Sox in 2020.

In July  2021, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs who assigned him to play with the Iowa Cubs. The Cubs called him up to the major leagues in August 2021. He made his MLB debut that same month for the Cubs.
