Justin Irvin Upton is an American professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball.
He was born on August 25, 1987, in the United States. He started his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks and went on to play for the Atlanta Braves, the San Diego Padres, the Detroit Tigers, and the Los Angeles Angels.
Upton has been honoured with selection to a total of four All-Star teams and three Silver Slugger Awards throughout his career.
Upton received the AFLAC National High School Player of the Year Award while attending Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, Virginia.
He was also named to the all-district shortstop team during his time there. Mark Reynolds, David Wright, and Ryan Zimmerman were other teammates of Upton’s on various travel teams.
He has given NC State a verbal commitment to play collegiate baseball for them. According to Baseball America, he is now the top high school baseball prospect.
