Matthew Boyd happens to be a professional baseball player currently with the San Francisco Giants baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). He serves as a pitcher for the team. He has his amateur career at Mercer Island High School and then at Eastside Catholic School.
He then played college baseball at the Oregon State University and played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2011 and 2012.
Matthew was drafted in the 2013 MLB draft by the Toronto Blue Jays and received a signing bonus of $75,000. He made his professional debut with the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts.
