Trevor Anthony Williams is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the New York Mets in the United States. He previously played for the Pirates of Pittsburgh and the Cubs of Chicago.



Williams attended Arizona State University from 2011 to 2013, where he played college baseball for the Sun Devils after graduating from Rancho Bernardo High School.

During his career, he started 38 games and went 18–8 with a 2.98 ERA (ERA). He was a member of the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2012.



In the second round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, the Miami Marlins selected Williams.

In his first season, he played for the Gulf Coast Marlins, as well as the Batavia Muckdogs and Greensboro Grasshoppers.

He was 0–2 with a 2.38 ERA in 12 starts between the three teams. Williams began 2014 with the Jupiter Hammerheads, garnering All-Star honors in the Florida State League, before joining the Jacksonville Suns in August.

He went 8–7 with a 3.13 ERA in 26 starts for both organizations. Williams pitched in 25 games for both the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Zephyrs in 2015, posting a 7–10 record with a 3.85 ERA (24 starts).

Williams is a fervent Catholic and a Knight of Columbus, with the initialized motto of the Society of Jesus, “AMDG,” and an homage to Benedict of Nursia tattooed on his arms.

He married his wife, Jackie, in November 2014. Their adoptive daughter was born in July 2019 and their son was born in 2015.
