Salvador Pérez and his wife Maria gave birth to 3 children. Sons Salvador, Jr., Johan, and daughter Paulina. Salvador Johan Pérez Diaz is a Venezuelan-born Major League Baseball catcher for the Kansas City Royals. Salvador Pérez was born in Valencia, Venezuela, on May 10, 1990.

He has been a seven-time Major League Baseball All-Star, a five-time Gold Glove Award winner, and the recipient of the World Series Most Valuable Player award. He currently holds the record for most home runs in a single season.

Salvador in his early years enrolled in a baseball school in Valencia where he displayed an ability to throw as well as catch balls as young as six years old. When he reached the age of eight, he developed the preference to play the catcher role.



Salvador began his professional career in the minor leagues when he was signed by the Royals at the age of 16. Their minor league career began in the year 2007 and he featured in the Arizona Complex League.

He was called up to the major league on August 10, 2011, where he made his first appearance against the Tampa Bay Rays. Throughout his entire career, Salvador has a total home run of 205 overall.
