Génesis Cabrera was born on October 10, 1996, he is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2019, he made his Major League Baseball debut.

Cabrera joined the Tampa Bay Rays as an international free agent in November 2013. In his professional debut for the Dominican Summer League Rays in 2014, he went 2–1 with a 2.45 ERA in 29+13 innings pitched.

On July 31, 2018, Cabrera, Justin Williams, and Roel Ramrez were traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for Tommy Pham. He was assigned to the Springfield Cardinals before being promoted to the Memphis Redbirds for the playoffs.

Cabrera was added to the Cardinals’ 40-man roster after the 2018 season. He started the 2019 season with the Memphis Grizzlies. On May 29, 2019, he got promoted to the big leagues for the first time.

That night, he made his major league debut against the Philadelphia Phillies, giving up five runs (three earned) in 3+2/3 innings while striking out five and walking two batters in a Cardinals loss of 11–4.
