Giovanny Gallegos is a professional baseball pitcher currently with the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). He is from Mexico and was born on August 14, 1991, in Ciudad Obregón. He is 1.88 m tall and earns $2,410,000 as an annual salary from the Cardinals.

Giovanny was signed in 2012 by the New York Yankees as an international free agent. He made his professional debut that same year after the Yankees assigned him to play with the Gulf Coast League Yankees. During the 2013 season, he pitched for the Staten Island Yankees and in 2014, he played for the Charleston River Dogs.

His 2015 season was spent with the Tampa Yankees and he spent the 2016 season playing for both the Trenton and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre when the season ended, the Yankees added him to their 40-man roster.

He made his MLB debut the following day. He was traded in 2018 to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals made him play with the Memphis Redbirds that same year. They later promoted him to play with St. Louis in September that year. During the 2020 baseball season, he missed a lot of games after he tested positive for COVID-19.
