Travis Emmanuel d’Arnaud is an American born professional baseball catcher with the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Travis was born to Marita d’Arnaud and Lance d’Arnaud on February 10, 1989, in Long Beach, California in the United States of America.

Travis attended  Lakewood High School where he played baseball as an amateur for the school team. D’Arnaud began to draw the attention of scouts as a high school baseball player in 2007 and was invited to work out with the Toronto Blue Jays. He completed high school in 2007 and was inducted into the Lakewood Youth Hall of Fame as a Co-Athlete of the Year in 2008.

Travis did not attend college as he was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2007 MLB draft. He signed a minor league contract with them and received $832,500 as a signing bonus. He began his professional career with the Philadelphia Phillies’ Rookie League, an affiliate to the Gulf Coast League Phillies.

During the 2008 season, he was made to play with the Phillies’ Class-A Short Season, also an affiliate to the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York–Penn League. From there, the Phillies promoted him to the Class-A Lakewood Blue Claws. The Phillies traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2010.

Travis played with the Jays till December 2012 when they traded his contract to the New York Mets. The Atlanta Braves signed a two-year contract worth $16 million with him in November 2019 to begin the 2020 baseball season.
