Born on April 25, 1998, Albert Chukwuemeka Okwuegbunam plays tight end for the National Football League’s Denver Broncos. At Missouri, he played collegiate football.
In Springfield, Illinois, Okwuegbunam attended Sacred Heart Griffin High School. He was a wide receiver for the school’s football team. He agreed to play college football at Missouri University.
Okwuegbunam participated in all 13 games in 2017 after redshirting his freshman year at Missouri in 2016. He recorded 29 receptions for 415 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2018, he came back to start for Missouri.
Okwuegbunam made the decision to forego his last year of eligibility after the 2019 season and to enter the 2020 NFL Draft instead.
With the 118th overall choice in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected Okwuegbunam, reuniting him with his former Missouri colleague Drew Lock. In Week 6 of the 2020 campaign, he faced the New England Patriots in his NFL debut.

Okwuegbunam was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He had a strong 29-415-11 record as a freshman at Missouri in 2017, but he never really improved after that.
He had records of 26-306-6 in 2019 and 43-466-6 in 2018. At the Combine, the 6’5″, 258-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds.
