Bernard Cribbins was an English actor and singer whose career spanned seven decades. Cribbins rose to fame on a global scale thanks to his roles in comedic films like Two-Way Stretch (1960) and the Carry On series, as well as the success of his novelty singles “The Hole in the Ground” and “Right Said Fred.”
In addition, he is known for his roles as Mr. Hutchinson in the Fawlty Towers episode “The Hotel Inspectors” and The Railway Children (1970), both of which were directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Frenzy was released in 1972. (1975).

In the film Daleks’ Invasion of Earth 2150 A.D. from 1966, Cribbins portrayed Dr. Who’s companion Tom Campbell as Tom Campbell. In the season of Doctor Who that was restored 41 years later, he made his debut as Wilfred Mott, the grandfather of Donna Noble, who was a regular companion on the show and a temporary companion for the Tenth Doctor.
