What NFL team does Michael Deiter play for?
American football center Michael Deiter currently plays for the Miami Dolphins, who are members of the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Wisconsin during his college football career and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Prior to the start of the 2017 season, Deiter was placed on the watch lists for both the Outland Trophy and the Rimington Trophy. Athlon Sports placed him on the Big Ten’s second all-conference team.
SB Nation said on September 28, 2017, that Deiter was a leading candidate for the annual “Piesman” Trophy. This is an award given to a collegiate Lineman who does “decidedly un-lineman things,” and it was given to him for his 4-yard rushing touchdown against Illinois.
After spending his junior year playing tackle for Wisconsin, Deiter ultimately elected to switch positions and play guard for the Badgers in his senior season. He had previously explored entering the 2018 NFL Draft in lieu of his senior season.
After Deiter moved back to Wisconsin, Alex Hornibrook and he was both given the responsibility of becoming offensive captains for the team.
Deiter was honored with a spot on the AP’s second team of pre-season All-Americans before the start of the season.
