Nicholas Alexander Folk is a placekicker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Folk was born on November 5, 1984, and now plays for the Patriots.

In the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys made the selection of Nicholas Alexander Folk. Folk was a member of the Cowboys for all three of his seasons and was selected for the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

He was a member of the New York Jets for the subsequent seven seasons, during which time he became the franchise’s second-leading scorer.



Before making a return to football in 2019 with the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football, Folk took a year off from the sport.

It was in the same year that he topped the league in scoring that he made his comeback to the National Football League. Folk attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, during his time as a high school football player.

As a punter, he was recognized as All-CIF, and as a placekicker, he made the second team. Folk has decided to attend the University of Arizona after being offered a scholarship to play football there.

In 2005, he kicked a field goal against USC that was the longest of his college career, measuring 52 yards. As a senior, he was recognized as an All-Pac-10 performer by the conference.
