Ja’Whaun Bentley is an American football linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Purdue. He was drafted by the Patriots in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
From 2014 until 2017, Bentley spent the first semester of each year at Purdue. In 2017, he recorded 97 tackles, 11.5 of which were for losses.
The 2017 All-Big Ten Conference team recognized Bentley University with an honorable mention designation. The 2017 Foster Farms Bowl Most Valuable Defensive Player Award went to him.
In the 2018 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected Bentley in the fifth round (143rd overall). This was the team’s first pick of an offensive player.
In the second preseason game for the team, Bentley recovered a fumble that was caused by Adrian Clayborn and then returned it for a touchdown after returning it 54 yards.
Due to his outstanding performance in the preseason, experienced Dont’a Hightower and Kyle Van Noy have chosen to include Bentley in their starting linebacker rotation.

In 1919, W. R. Smith purchased a collection of lands located around 10 miles east of Washington and constructed a residential neighborhood that was home to 15 people. This was the beginning of the development of Glenarden.
After thirty years, the African-American and middle-class suburban community that had developed as a result of Smith’s endeavor submitted a petition to the State Legislature for incorporation as the Town of Glenarden under the banner of the Civic Association.
This petition was submitted in order to become a municipality.
