Did Bradley Anae clear waivers?

According to Calvin Watkins on Twitter on Wednesday night, defensive end Bradlee Anae of the Dallas Cowboys has successfully cleared waivers and will be added to the team’s practice squad.

Anae, a former fifth-round selection in the 2020 draft, sat out nine of his 23 available games and did not participate in two more. With two career tackles and no sacks, his time in Dallas came to an end. Similar to Jabril Cox, Anae spent most of his playing time on special teams.

Anae may no longer be on the Cowboys’ starting roster as a result of a few penalties for Bones Fossil’s special teams unit. The most recent instance occurred on Sunday evening when the defensive end jumped offsides, prolonging Minnesota’s drive.

As a result, they scored a field goal. The head coach of the Cowboys seems to dispute the idea that Anae’s dismissal was caused by the penalty. During the 2019 season for the Utes, Anae became the ninth unanimous All-American for Utah.

Numerous national magazines named him to their first and second teams of All-Americans. In the history of the Utah program, his 13 sacks from the 2019 season are the fifth-most in a season.

He not only led the Pac-12 conference in tackles for a loss with 14, but he also led his team in that category. He was voted first-team All-Pac-12 in 2018 after leading the league with 8 sacks.
