Tyre Jerel Phillips, a professional football player for the National Football League, goes by the moniker Tyre Phillips. He participates for the Baltimore Ravens as an offensive tackle. He played football throughout his freshman season as well as his sophomore and junior years at Grenada High School in Grenada, Mississippi. He turned down scholarship offers from FCS institutions in favor of attending East Mississippi Community College, hoping to sign with a Division I institution later on.

He played two seasons with the Lions at East Mississippi Community College before enrolling at Mississippi State in January 2017 to play collegiate football for the Bulldogs. His first year at Mississippi State was spent with a redshirt. During his junior season, he then alternated between playing both tackle positions in an offensive line rotation. Phillips started each of the Bulldogs’ 13 games during his senior year.

He participated in the 2020 Senior Bowl following the season. In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens. He hurt his ankle on November 3, 2020. He was placed on injured reserve and won’t be activated again until November 30, 2020. He was hoisted off the field during the first half of the season-opening game against the Las Vegas Raiders in September 2021 due to a knee injury. He was summoned back from injured reserve in October 2021. In December 2021, he was once more placed on injured reserve ending his sophomore season.
