American football tight end Kyle Anthony Pitts currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL (NFL). At the University of Florida,
where he played college football, he was a first-team All-American and the 2020 John Mackey Award winner for the best collegiate player.
Later, Pitts became the first rookie in his position to be selected for the Pro Bowl in 20 years. Before going to Archbishop Wood Catholic High School in Warminster, Pennsylvania in 2016, Pitts attended Abington Senior High School in Abington.
He is a football tight end and defensive end for the squad. In 2018, Pitts participated in the Under Armour All-America Game. In order to play collegiate football,
he made a binding agreement with the University of Florida. He received unanimous All-American honours and the John Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end in college football.
The 2020 season was cut short by the COVID-19 epidemic, but not before Pitts had scored 12 touchdowns in eight games.
On his NFL debut that first week, he recorded five receptions for 79 yards, all of which came against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Pitts had his first career NFL touchdown against the New York Jets on a day when he grabbed nine catches for 119 yards.
The 163 receiving yards he racked up against the Saints were a single-game record for the Falcons. In total, he caught 68 passes for 1,026 yards and one touchdown.
Pitts became the first player in NFL history to record more than 1,000 receiving yards in Week 17 of the season.
