Dexter Lawrence is an American football nose tackle for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Clemson.
After Dexter tested positive for the prohibited chemical ostarine during his time playing collegiate football, he was ruled ineligible to participate in the 2019 College Football Playoff.
Following the conclusion of the season, Lawrence made the decision to bypass his senior year in order to join the 2019 NFL Draft.
Lawrence suffered an injury to his left leg while running the 40-yard dash during the 2019 NFL Combine. The injury occurred when he was beginning his career as a professional athlete.
In the 2019 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Lawrence as the 17th overall choice, making him the team’s first overall selection.
The selection was originally obtained by the Giants through a deal with the Cleveland Browns, which involved the departure of Odell Beckham Jr.

What Happened To Dexter Lawrence?
It was reported for the first time that Clemson defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence was one of three players on the Tigers’ roster to test positive for a prohibited chemical called ostarine.
As a direct consequence of this, Clemson’s 6-4, 350-pound Lawrence, who served as the literal focal point of the Tigers’ incredible defensive line, was given a suspension for both the Cotton Bowl game against Notre Dame and the national championship game versus Alabama.
