Who Is Jihad Ward’s Mother, Kareema Ward?
Kareema Ward is the proud mother of Jihad Ward. She is a single mother with five children. Jihad was named after her mom’s childhood classmate.
Kareema didn’t become a Muslim until 11 years ago, many years after Jihad was born, so there was no religious connection at the time, but her education as a Muslim has given his name new significance.
She keeps a piece of lined notebook paper in her purse that has 17 Islamic proverbs underlined on it as a continual reminder of the teachings she’s still learning.
