American football guard Shane Jeremy Lemieux, who plays for the National Football League’s New York Giants, was born on May 12, 1997.
At Oregon, he played collegiate football. Lemieux was an offensive lineman and tight end for West Valley High School.
He was given offers from more than half of the Pac-12 schools and was listed as the 36th-best offensive lineman recruit.
Lemieux, a 3-star recruit, chose Oregon over offers from schools including Boise State, Michigan, NC State, and South Carolina on May 3, 2014.
Lemieux redshirted his first season but started 52 games overall between 2016 and 2019 without missing a beat.
The New York Giants selected Lemieux with the 150th overall choice in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He started his first game as left guard on Monday Night Football on November 2 in place of Will Hernandez, who had tested positive for COVID-19.
Lemieux played in 12 games with 9 starts as a rookie and took Hernandez’s place at left guard for the remainder of the season. After worsening a knee ailment in Week 1, Lemieux was put on injured reserve on September 16, 2021.
Lemieux had surgery to repair the patella tendon in his left knee on September 22. Lemieux, who was hurt during Week 2’s Thursday Night Football, was the second Giants offensive lineman to have his season ruled out.

He contributes some intriguing qualities. Although he’s not the biggest guard, he plays much bigger than his little frame suggests and is a very tough and aggressive run blocker.
He is a highly smart football player, which has always enabled him to overcome his flaws in the past, but he needs it to help him develop one area of his game that still needs work.
