Dallas Goedert is a tight end with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He stands 1.96 meters tall and weighs 116 kilograms. He participated in the Braves athletic teams at Britton-Hecla High School, where he played basketball, football, and soccer. He enrolled in South Dakota University after high school and, from 2013 to 2017, he participated as a walk-on for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits football team.
He recorded 198 receptions for 2,988 yards and 21 touchdowns during his college career, including two consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards. During his senior year, he was a team captain, started all 14 games, and had a total of 72 catches for 1,111 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Upon completion of the 2017 season, he consented to play in the 2018 Senior Bowl. The injury he sustained in practice forced him to leave the game, though. In the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Goedert was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 49th overall choice. The Eagles signed him to a four-year, $5.62 million deal in May 2018 that included with a $2.17 million signing bonus and $2.90 million in guaranteed compensation.
He made his NFL debut during the 2018 season’s opening contest against the Atlanta Falcons. In November 2021, Goedert’s contract with the Eagles was extended for a further four years.
