Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Josiah Scott plays professionally in the National Football League. At 1.75 meters tall, he weighs 84 kg. He participated in football competitions while a student at Fairfield High School. For the Michigan State Spartans squad, he played collegiate football at Michigan State University.
The ESPN Freshman All-America Team selected him as a freshman. The first eight games of his sophomore season were missed due to a ruptured meniscus. After recording four pass breakups and three tackles throughout the game, he was awarded the defensive MVP of the 2018 Redbox Bowl.
All thirteen of his starts came in his junior year, and he concluded his career tied for the 12th-most pass interceptions in MSU history with 32. In the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars picked Scott with the 137th overall pick. The Jaguars previously dealt cornerback A. J. Bouye to the Denver Broncos in exchange for the pick used to select Scott. He was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the Jaguars in July 2020, but three days later, he was activated.
He was traded in May 2021 for Jameson Houston and a choice in the 2023 sixth round that would go to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was activated on October 2, 2021, after being placed on injured reserve on September 2, 2021.
