Leo Chenal enrolled early with the Wisconsin Badgers. In his rookie season, he participated in 11 games and recorded 20 tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack.
During Wisconsin’s COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, he finished the year with 46 tackles, six tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception in seven games. He earned honourable mention All-Big Ten Conference as a sophomore.
As a junior, Chenal was selected to the first team of the Big Ten and was named the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year.
