Hill became Mizzou’s first-ever special team’s coordinator in 2018, after 19 years as a receivers coach and three years as a quarterbacks coach.

Hill coached senior Richaud Floyd, who finished fourth in the country in punt return yards with 15 returns for 206 yards and a 13.7 yard average during his final season at Mizzou.

He coached seven out of Mizzou’s eight 1,000-yard receiving seasons during his stint with the receivers. He coached Mizzou quarterbacks from 2013 to 2015, including Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock as a freshman starter in 2015.

Hill was the head football coach at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas before coming to Missouri (1994-95).

Under Hill, Hutchinson went 18-6, with a 10-2 record in 1995, when it won its first conference title since 1969 and finished tenth in the final NJCAA national poll.

Coach of the Year honors was bestowed upon him by the conference. After serving as a graduate assistant at SMU in the spring of 1992, Hill became the offensive coordinator at Hutchinson in 1992 and 1993.
