Born on April 11, 1995, Cavan Baggio is a 26-year-old American professional baseball second baseman, third baseman, and outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball, who is also the son of former MLB player and Hall of Famer Craig Biggio.
The Toronto Blue Jays called up Biggio on May 24, 2019.
When the San Diego Padres came to town that night, he made his major league debut. He earned his first major league hit two days later, on May 26.
He hit his first home run of the game in his second at-bat. On September 17, Biggio became the third player in Blue Jays history to hit for the cycle, joining Jeff Frye and Kelly Gruber, who both did it in 2001 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
For Biggio, it was a four-RBI, three-run, two-steal performance.
Cavan and his father Craig (who hit for the cycle on April 8, 2002, for the Houston Astros) are just the second father-son pair in MLB history to hit for the cycle.
The first was Gary Ward and his son Daryle. Biggio had a batting average of.234 in 100 games this season.
