Randal Alexander Grichuk, born August 13, 1991, is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Major League Baseball Toronto Blue Jays.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim selected him in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft out of Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas.
He played in the Angels’ minor league system for five seasons, losing time due to injuries but gaining home-run hitting talents along the way. I
The Angels traded him to the St. Louis Cardinals in November 2013, and he made his major league debut on April 28, 2014.
Grichuk possesses a strong hitting skill, as well as agility, and a strong defense. He plays all three outfield positions in the minor leagues, has a strong arm, and typically patrols the right field.
He was expected to be the first baseman before the draft, but he improved his outfield play and won the Gold Glove Award for all minor league right fielders in 2013.
