Teoscar José Hernández, a Dominican professional baseball outfielder with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball, was born on October 15, 1992. (MLB). He was previously with the Houston Astros. He was born in Cotui, Dominican Republic, on October 15, 1992.
In February 2011, Hernández signed as an international free agent with the Houston Astros. In 2012 and 2013, he was a member of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast Astros and the Class-A Lexington Legends of the South Atlantic League. At the 2015 WBSC Premier12, he was named to the Dominican Republic national baseball team’s squad. The Astros promoted him to the major leagues on August 12, 2016.
Hernandez was dealt from the Houston Astros to the Toronto Blue Jays on July 31, 2017, in exchange for Francisco Liriano. Hernández hit his first home run as a Blue Jay against the Detroit Tigers on September 10, 2017.
