Ashleigh Barty Awards and Achievements

Ashleigh Barty is an Australian former professional tennis player and cricketer. She is the second Australian tennis player to be ranked No. 1 in the world in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) after fellow Indigenous Australian Evonne Goolagong Cawley.

Her dad experienced childhood in the provincial North Queensland town of Bowen where he turned into a Queensland and Australian delegate in golf and later worked for the State Library of Queensland.

Her mom is the little girl of English foreigners, was a state delegate for Queensland in golf in her more youthful years, and started functioning as a radiographer in the wake of resigning from golf.

Through her extraordinary grandma, Barty is an individual from the Indigenous Australian Ngaragu individuals, the Aboriginal individuals of southern New South Wales and northeastern Victoria.

She experienced childhood in Springfield, a suburb of Ipswich, Queensland, and went to Woodcrest State College all through her childhood. She has two more established sisters named Sara and Ali.
