The first year of Hall’s high school career was spent at Valdosta High School in Valdosta, Georgia before he transferred to Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia.
He was 6-1 with a 1.81 ERA and 89 strikeouts as a junior. That summer, he played at Wrigley Field and Petco Park in both the Under Armour/Perfect game All-American games.
Prior to his final year, Hall returned to Valdosta to complete his degree. In order to play college baseball, Hall enrolled at Florida State University.
The Baltimore Orioles made Hall their first-round pick in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft, selecting him with the 21st overall pick.
Eight earned runs were allowed in 10+1/3 innings of work for him in the Gulf Coast League Orioles after signing with the Orioles.
In 22 appearances for the Delmarva Shorebirds in 2018, he has a 2–7 record with a 2.10 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP (twenty starts).
Hall pitched in 19 games (17 starts) for the Frederick Keys in 2019, going 4–5 with a 3.46 ERA and striking out 116 batters in 80+2/3 innings.
The All-Star Futures Game selected him as a participant.
Due to the discontinuation of the minor league season in 2020, he did not play a single game, and in 2021, he only pitched 31+23 innings for the Bowie Baysox before an elbow injury ended his season early.
On November 19, 2021, Hall was added to the team’s 40-man roster following the season.
