Robinson David Chirinos González is simply known in baseball as Robinson Chirinos. He is of Venezuelan descent and was born June 5, 1984, in Punto Fijo in Venezuela. Robinson plays professional baseball for the Baltimore Orioles baseball team and plays the position of a catcher for the team.
Robinson was signed into the Chicago Cubs baseball team in the year 2000. He played in several minor leagues that were in affiliation to the Cubs from 2001 till 2011 when he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. Robinson made his professional debut in 2001 whiles playing for the AZL Cubs of the minor league.
After he was traded to the Rays, he was promoted to the major leagues that same year. He was with the Rays till 2013 when they also traded him to the Texas Rangers baseball team.
Robinson was with the Rangers from 2013 to 2018 and then the Houston Astros team came signing a one year contract with him. Robinson returned to the Rangers in 2020 but they later traded him to the New York Mets team.
In February 2021, the New York Yankees signed a minor league contract with him. He was promoted to the major leagues by signing a major league contract with the Chicago Cubs in July that year. A year later, the Baltimore Orioles signed him into their team on a one-year contract deal.
