Orioles No. 5 prospect Trey Mancini was eventually called up on Sunday as part of the team’s roster expansion. Mancini’s MLB debut was penciled in just a few days later by Buck Showalter.

There had been a long and arduous journey, including three seasons in the Minor Leagues.

With two home runs in his first two starts, he became the 20th player in big league history to accomplish this feat.

On September 24, he became only the third player in major league history to hit a home run in each of his first three starts.
