Caleb Paul Ferguson was born on July 2, 1996, he is an American Major League Baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB).
Ferguson was a student at West Jefferson High School in West Jefferson, Ohio. He had Tommy John surgery as a senior in 2014.
Despite the injury, he was picked in the 38th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He signed with the Dodgers, foregoing his NCAA baseball commitment at West Virginia University.
Ferguson made his professional debut in 2015 with the Arizona League Dodgers, where he pitched the entire season, with a 0–3 record and an 8.59 ERA in 14.2 innings.
In 2016, he appeared in 14 games with the Arizona League Dodgers, Ogden Raptors, and Great Lakes Loons, amassing a 3–4 record and 2.31 ERA (12 starts).
He pitched for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes[3] in 2017, going 9–4 with a 2.87 ERA in 25 games (24 starts). Ferguson began the season with the Tulsa Drillers before being promoted to the Oklahoma City Dodgers throughout the season.
