Darien Núñez 2021 Season
Darien Núñez began the 2021 season with the Double-A Tulsa Drillers, but he only pitched in one game before being promoted to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers, where he pitched to a 2.79 earned run average and led the team in strikeout rate (34.2 percent) through the first week of July, before being released.
Nuez got called up to the majors for the first time on July 8, 2021, when he was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the majors.
On July 9, he made his major league debut by pitching two innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Daulton Varsho was the victim of his first Major League Baseball strikeout. Nuez appeared in six games for the Dodgers in 2021, pitching a total of 7+2/3 innings (including one appearance as an opener).
