Trea Vance Turner is a Major League Baseball shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the United States.
He is one of the quickest runners in Major League Baseball, having sprinted at least twice in 2016 at 22.7 miles per hour.
Turner attended North Carolina State University, where he majored in baseball. A first-round draft pick by the San Diego Padres in 2014, he was traded to the Washington Nationals in 2015.
Before reverting to his “natural position” as a shortstop, Turner was mostly a center fielder for the Nationals and Padres in his first two seasons in the big leagues, in 2016 and 2017.
