Kyle Christian Hendricks is an American born professional baseball player who currently plays as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Kyle wears the number 28 jersey for the team and has a height and weight of 1.90 m and 86 kg respectively. He earns an annual salary that is a little over $7 million from the Cubs.
Kyle began his amateur baseball career by playing for the Capistrano Valley High School baseball team. Kyle was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and selected in the 39th round of the 2008 MLB draft, but he did not sign with them as he wanted to earn a degree and play college baseball for the Dartmouth Big Green baseball team at Dartmouth College.
After he graduated from college, the Texas Rangers selected him in the eighth round of the 2011 MLB draft. He agreed and signed with the Rangers to kick start his professional career. He was assigned to play with the Spokane Indians of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League for a start.
The Rangers traded him to the Chicago Cubs in 2013 where he spent the season playing for the Tennessee Smokies of the Class AA Southern League. At the end of the 2013 baseball season, the Cubs Kyle named him the minor league pitcher of the year.
He was promoted to the major leagues in 2014 and he made his MLB debut in July 2014 for the Chicago Cubs.
