Alec Mills was born Alec Thomas Mills on November 30, 1991, in Clarksville, Tennessee in the United States of America.
Alec happens to be a professional baseball pitcher currently in the major leagues and a player for the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Alec started playing baseball back in high school. He was a student at the Montgomery Central High School located in Cunningham, Tennessee. He pitched for the school’s baseball team till he graduated.
He then went on to play college baseball at the University of Tennessee. He was drafted out of college by the Kansas City Royals during the 22nd round of the 2012 MLB draft.
Alec agreed and signed with the Royals and made his professional debut when he was assigned to play with the Idaho Falls Chukars of the minor league. He spent the whole of the 2013 season with the Lexington Legends.
Alec split the 2014 season into two and played for both the Idaho Falls and the Lexington. After the 2015 season, the Royals added him to their 40-man roster and promoted him to the major leagues to make his MLB debut in May 2016.
The Royals traded Alec to the Chicago Cubs in 2017. He has been with the Cubs since then.
