Daniel David Norris was born on April 25, 1993, and is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Major League Baseball Chicago Cubs.
He has played for the Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, and Milwaukee Brewers in Major League Baseball. In 2014, he made his MLB debut.
The Tigers avoided arbitration with Norris on January 11, 2019, by agreeing to a one-year, $1.275 million contract. Despite achieving career highs in games (32), starts (29), innings (144+13), and strikeouts, Norris finished the season with a 3-13 record (125).
In order to control Norris’ workload, the Tigers limited him to three innings each start in the latter portion of the season.
