David Alan Robertson is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in the United States.
He has formerly played for the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Robertson was a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team.
Robertson was selected in the 17th round of the 2006 MLB draft by the Yankees, and he made his MLB debut in 2008.
Robertson was a part of the 2009 World Series-winning Yankees club. In 2011, he was selected as an All-Star by Major League Baseball. Robertson became the Yankees’ closer in 2014 when Mariano Rivera retired.
