Anthony James DeSclafani (born April 18, 1990), often known by his nicknames Disco and T-Bone, is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants (MLB).
He was a member of the Miami Marlins and Cincinnati Reds in the past. He was a member of the University of Florida baseball team. DeSclafani was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2014, he made his MLB debut.
DeSclafani was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He was given a signing bonus of $250,000. He pitched for the Class A Midwest League’s Lansing Lugnuts in 2012. He went 11–3 with a 3.37 ERA, with 11 wins equal for fourth in the league and 1.8 walks per nine innings tied for ninth.
DeSclafani, Adeiny Hechavarria, Henderson lvarez, Yunel Escobar, Jeff Mathis, Justin Nicolino, and Jake Marisnick were dealt to the Miami Marlins after the 2012 season, for Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson, José Reyes, John Buck, and Emilio Bonifacio.
In 2013, DeSclafani pitched for the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Florida State League’s Class A-Advanced division and the Jacksonville Suns of the Class AA Southern League.
Anthony DeSclafani signed a three-year deal with The San Francisco Giants for $36 million, DeSclafani receives a base salary of $12 million in 2022.
