Jarlin Emmanuel Garca (born January 18, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Garca joined the Miami Marlins as a free agent in 2010. With the Marlins, he made his MLB debut in 2017. He signed with the Miami Marlins as a free agent in August 2010, getting a $40,000 signing bonus.
He began his Minor League Baseball career at the age of 18 in 2011, and by 2014, he had pitched in 25 starts for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, going 10-5 with a 4.38 ERA and 111 strikeouts (10th in the South Atlantic League). After the 2014 season, he was left vulnerable in the Rule 5 draft.
Garca started the 2016 season with the Jaguars. On May 15, 2016, the Marlins promoted him to the major leagues after he made seven starts for the Suns with a 4.04 ERA.
On May 20, they sent him to Jacksonville without allowing him to play in a major league game. He was designated a Rising Star while playing for Mesa in the Arizona Fall League.
The San Francisco Giants claimed Garca off waivers. In 2020, he pitched for the Giants, with a 0.49 ERA and a 19.2 percent strikeout rate in 18.1 innings pitched in 19 games, with a 0.982 WHIP.
Garca went 6-3 with one save and a 2.63 ERA in the regular season of 2021. He pitched 68.2 innings in 58 relief appearances, averaging 6.3 hits, 2.4 walks, and 8.9 strikeouts per 9 innings for a 0.961 WHIP.
